Which ticket
The FAI, Italy's equivalent of the National Trust, sells three versions:
- Standard entry (€15, €9 reduced): house and garden at your own pace with a downloadable audio guide. Bring earphones.
- Flexible ticket (€18): the same entry with free cancellation up to 24 hours before. Worth the extra if your days in Milan aren't fixed yet.
- Guided tour of the interiors (€22, €16 reduced), in English or Italian. Better if you care about the architect Piero Portaluppi and the 1930s design details the audio guide only skims.
If you're a member of a National Trust-type organisation in the INTO network, bring your card: standard entry is free, and guided tours drop to €7.
The Monday and Tuesday trap
Villa Necchi opens Wednesday to Sunday, 10 am–6 pm, last entry 5 pm. Plenty of visitors walk over on a Monday or Tuesday and find the gate shut. FAI also closes the villa during severe weather alerts, so check the site on stormy mornings.
There's no booking fee on the FAI website. Tiqets and GetYourGuide sell the standard entry in English, which is handy if the rest of your Milan tickets already live there.
House museum card
At the ticket desk you can buy the €25 Casemuseocard, covering Villa Necchi plus three other Milan house museums: Poldi Pezzoli, Bagatti Valsecchi and Casa Boschi Di Stefano. Worth it if you'll see at least two of them.

Via Mozart 14 is a quiet residential street east of the centre, about 10 minutes' walk from the M4 metro stops San Babila or Tricolore.
