Theme parks, water parks and aquariums in Italy

How theme park tickets work in Italy

Three rules apply almost everywhere.

Fixed date is cheaper, open date costs more. Gardaland sells tickets for a selected date, Leolandia has a fixed-date ticket, Mirabilandia and Cinecittà World also sell open-date tickets. The Aquarium of Genoa spells it out: the fixed-date ticket locks date and time slot, the FLEXI ticket is valid for a year and lets you move your visit. With small children or an uncertain forecast, the flexible ticket is insurance you pay for upfront.

The price moves with the calendar. Many parks use dynamic pricing: the fare depends on the day and on how early you buy. Gardaland says it plainly, with online tickets from 32 € per adult. In Genoa a fixed-date adult ticket ranges from 26 euro to 34,00 €, online only.

The calendar matters more than opening hours. Outside summer many parks open only on selected days, and Mirabilandia reserves the right to change days and hours. At MagicLand, rides stop admitting guests 30 minutes before the park closes, and water rides may close earlier on evening openings. Open the official calendar for your exact date before paying.

Seasons

• Theme parks (Gardaland, Mirabilandia, Leolandia, MagicLand, Cinecittà World): spring to autumn, with variable opening days outside summer. Most run Halloween events in October (Magic Halloween at Gardaland, Crazy Halloween Nights at Leolandia, Halloween at Cinecittà World, evening Halloween Nights at Zoomarine). Some reopen for the holidays: Natale Incantato at Leolandia, New Year's Eve at Gardaland.
• Water parks (Aquafan in Riccione, Caribe Bay in Jesolo, Aqua World inside Cinecittà World, MagicLand's water rides): summer only. Caribe Bay opened daily from 30 May to 13 September in 2026; off-season its ticket office is closed until the next summer.
• Aquariums: the Aquarium of Genoa is open every day of the year, which makes it the safe pick for rain or winter.

Where the main parks are

Park	Area	Type
Gardaland & Gardaland SEA LIFE	Lake Garda (Verona)	Theme park, aquarium
Leolandia	near Bergamo	Family park for young children
Mirabilandia	Ravenna	Theme park
Aquafan, Oltremare, Italia in Miniatura	Rimini/Riccione coast	Water park, marine park, miniature park
Caribe Bay	Jesolo (near Venice)	Water park
MagicLand	Valmontone (Rome)	Theme park with water rides
Cinecittà World	Rome	Film-themed park with Aqua World
Zoomarine	Rome	Marine park

Most of these parks sit outside the city centres. Check how you will get there and back before you pick a date, especially for evening events.

Official site or partner

Official sites sell the dynamic fixed-date tickets and season passes (Zoomarine says a season pass costs little more than a single ticket): if you know your date and buy early, start there. Tiqets, GetYourGuide and Headout are useful for combo tickets, for their own cancellation terms, or simply because you already have an account there and the checkout is in English. The cards below show, park by park, the tickets partners actually sell, with prices refreshed daily.

In July and August weekends and on Italian public holidays, arrive at opening and do the big rides first.
