About us
An independent guide to museum and sight tickets in Italy · not the official site of any venue
tickets.co.it answers a practical question: what does the official ticket cost, do you need to book, which ticket suits you and where to buy it. We do not sell tickets and we are not the official site of any museum; we earn a commission when you buy through our links to Tiqets, GetYourGuide or Headout.
What we do
For every museum, monument, park or transport link we answer the questions that matter before you pay: what the official ticket costs, whether and how far ahead to book, who gets in free, what resellers offer instead and what they add (audio guide, guided tour, free cancellation, combos).
We are not the official site of any venue and we do not sell tickets. Every page says so.
How we check official prices
- Official sources only. Prices, hours, free-entry rules and booking rules come from the website of the museum, the park, the ticketing concessionaire or the transport operator. Not from blogs, reviews or reseller sites.
- Quote and date. For each fact we keep the link to the official page, the sentence copied word for word and the date we checked it. You will find them under "Sources & checks" at the bottom of each page.
- Regular re-checks. We re-read the official pages; if a quote is no longer there, the fact goes back for review.
- If it is not confirmed, we leave it out. When an official page does not say something, we would rather leave a gap than fill it from memory.
How we make money
The site is funded by affiliate commissions from Tiqets, GetYourGuide and Headout. If you click one of our links and buy, the partner pays us a percentage; you pay the partner's price.
Our own rules:
- Direct links. Buttons go straight to the product page on the partner's site. No hidden redirects.
- Official and paid kept apart. The official price sits in the facts box with its source; partner offers sit in a separate box, and every page notes that some links are affiliate links.
- Partner prices refreshed daily, shown automatically and never written into the text, because they change.
- Partner order. The first button goes to the partner whose product our readers buy most for that sight; without that data, to Tiqets for entry tickets.
- We say when official is enough. If the official ticket is available and all you need, we tell you, even though we earn nothing from it.
We have also written a review of each partner, with their cancellation rules and weak points, including the Italian antitrust fine over Colosseum tickets.
Photos and privacy
Photos come from Wikimedia Commons under free licences and are always credited; partner images are used only when nothing else is available. We use no tracking cookies and no third-party analytics.
Contact
Write to info@tickets.co.it for corrections, changed prices or questions. If you run a museum or a service and spot a wrong fact about it, send us the link to your official page and we will update it.
FAQ
Is tickets.co.it an official museum website?
No. We are an independent guide. For every sight we link the official site in the sources, together with the official price and the date we checked it.
Can I buy tickets on tickets.co.it?
No, we do not sell anything. Buttons take you straight to the product page on the partner's site (Tiqets, GetYourGuide, Headout), where you buy and pay under their terms.
How do you make money?
Through affiliate commissions: if you buy after clicking one of our links, the partner pays us a percentage. The partner sets the price; our link adds nothing to the price you see on its site.
How up to date are the prices?
Official prices come from official pages, quoted and dated. Partner prices refresh automatically every day. The price shown at checkout is always the one that counts.
I found a mistake. Who do I tell?
Email info@tickets.co.it with the page and, if you can, a link to the official source with the correct information. We check it and fix it.
