Verona & Lake Garda tickets
Arena, Juliet's House, Gardaland, Sigurtà, thermal park · what to book and what not
In Verona the one booking you can't skip is Juliet's House, where even the courtyard now needs a timed online ticket. The Arena is open Tuesday to Sunday and included in the Verona Card, from €29 for 24 hours. On Lake Garda, Gardaland is cheaper online than at the gate, while Sigurtà and the thermal park at Lazise need no booking.

Book ahead, buy online, or just turn up
Book ahead: Juliet's House. Since 1 April the only way in is through the Teatro Nuovo on Piazzetta Navona, with a timed ticket bought online: €5 for the courtyard, €12 with the house and balcony. No ticket, no statue photo. In summer, opera seats at the Arena are a separate purchase from the daytime visit.
Buy online, no stress: the Arena. The official channel is verona.midaticket.it and the city recommends buying ahead, but it isn't a compulsory booking. It's closed on Mondays, and on summer show days the visit closes early.
Online is cheaper: Gardaland. Prices change by date and the gate costs more. Mind the calendar: the main season ends on 1 November and the park reopens for Magic Winter from 5 December to 6 January.
Just turn up: Parco Giardino Sigurtà (open until 15 November) and the Parco Termale del Garda at Colà di Lazise need no booking.
The Verona Card
The Verona Card is now a named QR code on your phone: €29 for 24 hours, €32 for 48 hours, or €33 and €38 including ATV city buses. It covers the Arena, Lamberti Tower, Juliet's House and courtyard, Castelvecchio, the Roman Theatre and Archaeological Museum, the Maffei Lapidary Museum, the Natural History Museum, the Modern Art Gallery and the churches of San Zeno, Sant'Anastasia, San Fermo and the Duomo. It also gets you a discount at Sigurtà and free entry to MUSE in Trento.
The maths: Juliet's full route alone is €12. Add the Arena and the Lamberti Tower on the same day and the card usually wins. In town for half a day with one sight in mind? Buy the single ticket.
A three-day plan
- Day 1, central Verona. Arena in the morning, Juliet's House in your booked slot, Lamberti Tower and a church in the afternoon. Activate the Verona Card today.
- Day 2, Gardaland. Train to Peschiera del Garda, then the free shuttle bus. A full day.
- Day 3, gardens and hot springs. Sigurtà at Valeggio sul Mincio by day, then the thermal park at Lazise on an afternoon or evening ticket, which costs less than the day ticket.
