Reseller prices are refreshed daily; the final price is the one on the partner's site. Resellers cost more than the official ticket because they add availability, free cancellation or services.
The new way in
Forget the old routine of squeezing through the archway on Via Cappello. Since 1 April the only entrance is the Teatro Nuovo on Piazzetta Navona, just round the corner. You pass through the theatre's hall and foyer, where there's a small display on the Romeo and Juliet story, then into the courtyard and, with the full ticket, up into the house. The route is one-way and you exit through the Via Cappello arch. Numbers are capped and every ticket is timed and booked online.
If you're standing on Via Cappello watching people come out, you're at the exit.
Which ticket
Teatro–Courtyard, €5: the bronze statue and the balcony seen from below, which is the photo most people come for. Teatro–Courtyard–House, €12: adds the rooms of the house-museum and the balcony itself. The two aren't cumulative, so the €12 ticket covers the courtyard too.
Official tickets are on verona.midaticket.it. If you'll also visit the Arena or the Lamberti Tower the same day, the Verona Card (from €29 for 24 h) includes both Juliet routes for free and can work out cheaper. Note that Juliet's House is excluded from the city's €1 first-Sunday museum days.
Tiqets and GetYourGuide sell house tickets with an audio guide. They cost more than the city's ticket; what you pay for is the commentary in English, which the official ticket doesn't include, plus each reseller's own cancellation terms. Whatever you buy, make sure it shows a timed entry slot.
Timing tips
Slots are limited, so book as soon as your date is fixed, especially for weekends and Italian holidays. In summer heatwaves the city has temporarily closed the upper floors of the house; if the rooms matter to you, check notices before you go.
Accessibility
Visitors with disabilities who are accompanied and have enough mobility can go up to the balcony floor, not beyond. Entry is free for them and one companion with a Disability Card.
FAQ
What is the Juliet's House entrance fee?
€5 for the Teatro Nuovo–Courtyard route and €12 for the full Teatro–Courtyard–House route, which includes the courtyard. You don't pay twice.
Can I see Juliet's balcony for free?
Not any more. Since 1 April even the courtyard needs a ticket booked online, and the only entrance is through the Teatro Nuovo on Piazzetta Navona.
Where do I buy official Juliet's House tickets?
On the city's official channel, verona.midaticket.it. The old museiverona.com site is no longer in service.
Is Juliet's House included in the Verona Card?
Yes. Verona Card holders enter both the courtyard route and the full route free.
Who gets in free?
Children up to 5, disabled visitors with a Disability Card plus one companion, and tour guides leading groups.
Is Juliet's House wheelchair accessible?
Only partly: visitors with disabilities who have enough mobility and are accompanied can visit up to the balcony floor.
