Buy online, and buy early

MagicLand uses dynamic pricing, and its own site says so: prices change constantly. The practical rule is that a fixed-date online ticket costs far less than paying at the gate. The full ticket (over 140 cm) starts at €19.90 online against €39.90 at the gate; the reduced ticket (90–140 cm) starts at €19.90 online and €29.90 at the gate. "Starts at" means busy days cost more, so book once your date is fixed.

Price is set by height, not age. Under 90 cm is free. There's no reduced rate for foreign students or similar; the categories are height, disability, and pregnant women, military and over-65s, who get the reduced rate at the gate only.

The official day ticket also lists some extras: €10 off a Magic Pass Gold or Silver, one Magic Pass Single Ride, one entry to the horror houses on days they run, and a "come back whenever you like" benefit for the rest of the season, valid from the day after purchase. Read the conditions when you buy, as promotions change.

Fixed date or open date

The official online ticket is tied to a date. Tiqets and Headout sell an open-date ticket, so you don't pick the day at checkout. That's useful if you're staying in Rome and want to choose a dry weekend, or if it's a gift. Compare the partner price below with the official price for your date before deciding.

When it's open

MagicLand is a seasonal park. The official autumn calendar has October weekends at 10:30–18:00 and two late Halloween nights until midnight on 24 and 31 October. From 7 November to 6 January, with the Christmas programme, it opens at weekends, on bridge days and over the holidays, 11:00–18:00. Rides close 30 minutes before the park. The calendar can change, so check it on the day.

Getting there

The park is at Via della Pace, Valmontone. By car: A1 motorway, exit Valmontone from Rome (2 km to the park) or Colleferro from Naples (4 km). Parking is €7 a day at the gate. Without a car, the park points you to Valmontone railway station, with trains from Roma Termini; from Ciampino there are trains as well. If you're landing at Fiumicino, the official site suggests the Leonardo Express to Termini first.
