What Leolandia is

Leolandia is a theme park for families with young children in Capriate San Gervasio, between Milan and Bergamo, with rides, shows and areas themed on cartoons such as Masha and the Bear, Bluey, PJ Masks and Thomas the Tank Engine. Teenagers after big roller coasters should look elsewhere. That shapes the ticket question: most of what you pay depends on how tall your children are.

Fixed date or open date

The park sells two basic tickets.

Fixed-date. Valid only on the day you pick at checkout, and priced by day: from €30.50 for anyone over 120 cm and from €27.50 for children 90–119 cm, more on busy days. The official calendar flags each day's availability, down to "last places available", which is worth heeding on event weekends. The park also has a rain arrangement for fixed-date ticket holders; it's explained in the tips section of its site.

Open-date. Full price, €47.50 and €42.50, usable on any opening day until 6 January 2027. The one to choose if you're waiting for good weather or giving it as a gift.

Both include a free return visit later in the season, on a day of your choice except 31 October and 1 November. It's personal and has to be booked. In practice one ticket buys two days, which matters when you compare prices.

Height, not age

Leolandia charges by height, measured with shoes on:

Over-65s and pregnant women also pay the reduced rate. Measure your kids before you buy; tall six-year-olds tip into full price.

The official "Promozioni e prezzi" page changes often, with offers tied to events or to a few weekdays. Check it before buying; it sometimes beats the fixed-date price.

LeoPass and LeoVip

LeoPass (€75 flat from 90 cm) is an open-date ticket with priority access to ride queues; you collect it at reception and it covers your first day only. Worth it on a sold-out Sunday, much less on a quiet weekday in November.

LeoVip (€150 per person) adds parking by the entrance, a staff escort with priority access for the first three hours, a reserved restaurant table and a show seat. Most families will do fine with a normal ticket and an early arrival.

Opening days and hours

The park doesn't open every day. Typical hours are 10 am–6 pm in the regular season and during HalLEOween, with event evenings until 9:30 pm. Christmas season runs from 7 November to 6 January, 10:30 am–6 pm. In autumn and winter there are plenty of closed days, so check the calendar before you set off. Plan on a full day.

Tiqets and GetYourGuide sell an open-date Leolandia ticket in English, which works like the official open-date ticket. Compare its price with both official options and read the cancellation terms; that's usually where resellers earn their margin. LeoPass and LeoVip are sold only by the park.

Getting there

By car it's 300 m from the Capriate exit on the A4 Milan–Venice motorway. Without a car, take the Z301 bus (Nord Est Trasporti) from Milan or Bergamo to the Capriate San Gervasio stop, 500 m from the entrance; the park suggests buying your return ticket when you set off. From Bergamo airport, take ATB bus line 1 to Bergamo station and change to the Z301.

Bus line 1 from the airport to Bergamo station, then the Z301 to Capriate San Gervasio. A taxi takes about 20 minutes.
