Reseller prices are refreshed daily; the final price is the one on the partner's site. Resellers cost more than the official ticket because they add availability, free cancellation or services.
One ticket, two buildings
Brera now sells a single admission, La Grande Brera: €20 full, €4 for ages 18–25. You enter the Pinacoteca on the date and time you booked, and the same ticket gets you into Palazzo Citterio that day and for the following six days. It covers the permanent collection, the current exhibitions in both buildings and the Astronomy Museum (MusAB), which needs its own booking on its website.
Under-18s go free (under-12s with an adult), as do disabled visitors with a companion and Abbonamento Musei Lombardia holders. Bring ID for any reduction.
Booking
The official online channel is Brera Booking, where you choose date and time. You can also buy at the ticket desk at Via Brera 28 or via the call centre on +39 02 72105141 (daily 9am–6pm), which also helps with online bookings.
The first Sunday of the month is free, but only with a booking.
The gallery runs its own guided visits on set dates listed in the calendar on its website; "Brera e i suoi capolavori" (Brera and its masterpieces), for instance, costs €8 on top of the ticket. Check the calendar first, and check the language.
What resellers add is a guide on your schedule. Tiqets, GetYourGuide and Headout run small-group tours that combine the gallery with a walk round the Brera district. If you only want entry, compare with the official price first.
In the gallery
The official audio guide is €5, available in English, Italian, French, German and Russian, and the museum's app has audio guides and themed routes. The collection is big, so if you're short on time, pick the works you came for before you start rather than racing through the last rooms.
Hours: Tuesday to Sunday 8:30am–7:15pm, last entry 6pm. Closed every Monday, 1 May, 25 December and 1 January.
Getting there: metro M2 Lanza, M3 Montenapoleone or M1 Cairoli, tram 4 to Lanza. Lanza and Cairoli also serve Sforza Castle, so the two pair well in one day.
