Which ticket is right for you

All tickets online

Reseller prices are refreshed daily; the final price is the one on the partner's site. Resellers cost more than the official ticket because they add availability, free cancellation or services.

Tickets and discounts

The price list is short: €20 for anyone 26 or over, €16 for ages 6–25 and students. The under-26 discount isn't limited to EU citizens on the official price list, so bring ID. Families get two deals: €50 for two parents plus one child aged 6–18, €65 with two or more children. Under-6s are free and don't need booking. Disabled visitors pay €16 and their companion goes free.

The ticket is valid all day and you can leave and come back as often as you like. The entrance courtyard, with the restaurant, bistro and bookshop, is open to everyone without a ticket. If you'll be back within a year, the €50 annual pass pays for itself on the third visit.

When to book

The labyrinth sells timed entry slots, and on weekends and public holidays the desk stops selling once they're gone. Buying online is the only way to guarantee your time. Tiqets and GetYourGuide sell entry with their own cancellation terms, which helps if the weather looks iffy.

Remember Tuesdays: closed. Also 25 December and 1 January.

Hours and how long it takes

The bamboo maze is only part of it: there are galleries with Franco Maria Ricci's art collection and temporary shows. Allow at least an hour and a half. In winter, with last entry at 16:30 and early dusk, go in the morning.

The site has no architectural barriers, so wheelchairs and buggies are fine.

Getting there

The labyrinth is at Strada Masone 121, Fontanellato, under 10 minutes by car from Fidenza and about 15 from Parma. On the A1, exit at Fidenza coming from Milan or Parma Ovest coming from Bologna, then follow the Via Emilia. Parma and Fidenza are the nearest stations, but the last stretch needs a car or a pre-booked ride; the labyrinth lists a phone number for transfers.

For weekends and public holidays, yes: buying online guarantees your time slot, while tickets on site are sold only while slots remain.

How long should I allow?

There's no time limit, but the labyrinth suggests at least an hour and a half for the bamboo maze, the galleries and temporary exhibitions.

How do I get there from Parma without a car?

The nearest stations are Parma and Fidenza, but there's no public link advertised: the labyrinth gives a dedicated phone number for rides from the stations and hotels. By car it's about 15 minutes from Parma.

Are dogs allowed?

Yes, throughout the complex; access to the galleries is at staff discretion.
