Reseller prices are refreshed daily; the final price is the one on the partner's site. Resellers cost more than the official ticket because they add availability, free cancellation or services.

What it is, and why you book

Beneath the former Trevi cinema, a stone's throw from the fountain, is a small underground archaeological site: the remains of an imperial-era house, a water distribution tank (castellum aquae) of the Aqua Virgo aqueduct, and finds from the excavation including the head of Alexander Helios. Space is tight, entries run every 30 minutes and capacity is limited.

So at weekends and on holidays booking is compulsory, and advised on weekdays too. The catch for visitors: there's no online booking on the official site. You phone or WhatsApp +39 339 7786192 with your name, group size, visit type (self-guided or guided), day and preferred time. The line is staffed Tuesday to Sunday, 10am–4pm. To cancel, send a WhatsApp message.

Note the student and teacher reductions are EU-only, so bring ID.

Official booking vs Tiqets

The official price is so low that reseller tickets cost a lot more in relative terms. The reason people use them anyway is convenience: Tiqets sells the guided underground tour online, with instant confirmation, so no phone call to an Italian number. GetYourGuide bundles it with the Trevi Fountain and other stops. If you're happy to send a WhatsApp, the official route is the cheapest way in.
