Reseller prices are refreshed daily; the final price is the one on the partner's site. Resellers cost more than the official ticket because they add availability, free cancellation or services.
One ticket: museum and crypt
The Capuchin Crypt sits under the friars' church on Via Veneto, a short walk from Piazza Barberini and the Barberini metro stop. You can't visit the crypt alone: the ticket covers the Capuchin museum and the crypt together, and there's no crypt-only option.
Prices:
- Full €10, audio guide included
- Reduced €6.50: ages 7–17, over-65s, students with ID, international tour guides, members of Catholic religious orders, FAI members
- Groups of 10 or more: €7.50 per person
- Free: children up to and including 6 (no booking needed), disabled visitors and a companion if declared, Italian licensed guides, Capuchin friars
Buying online costs €1.50 extra per ticket. For an individual visit there's no need: the desk takes cash and any credit card. City cards don't help here. The museum lists ICOM, Mic Card, Roma Pass and Turbo Pass as not accepted, so if you bought a pass, you pay anyway.
Hours and how long it takes
Open every day, 9:30 am–1:30 pm and 2:30–6:30 pm. Last entries are 12:30 pm and 5:30 pm, and if you arrive after closing you won't get in even with a ticket. A full visit takes about an hour.
Organised groups can book evening visits behind closed doors, at 6:45 pm and 8 pm, with the museum reserved for them.
Rules worth knowing
This is a consecrated space. Shoulders and legs to the knee must be covered; in summer, carry a scarf or something to tie round your waist.
Photos and video are allowed for private use. Large bags and suitcases go in free lockers; the only drink allowed inside is a small bottle of water.
The crypt has three low steps and its original historic floor. It's reachable with someone to help, but motorised wheelchairs aren't allowed. The museum recommends that children visit with an adult.
When a partner ticket is worth it
The official ticket already includes the audio guide, so an "entry + audio guide" ticket from Tiqets, GetYourGuide or Headout gives you the same thing at a different price. Partners earn their keep with other formats: tours with a live guide, half-day tours that add the catacombs on the Appian Way with transport included, or special visits such as the one with a choral concert. If your plan is "crypt and catacombs in one morning", the combined tour saves you working out the bus to the Appian Way.
