Baths of Caracalla tickets
Run by the Soprintendenza Speciale di Roma · named ticket, no booking needed
A ticket to the Baths of Caracalla costs €8, or €2 for visitors aged 18–25; while an exhibition is on there's a €2 supplement, so right now it's €10 and €4. You don't need to book: buy on the Musei Italiani website or app, or at the card-only machines at the entrance, with no booking fee. From late October to February last entry is 3:30 pm and the site closes at 4:30 pm. Closed on Mondays.

Reseller prices are refreshed daily; the final price is the one on the partner's site. Resellers cost more than the official ticket because they add availability, free cancellation or services.
The official ticket
The Baths of Caracalla are run by the Soprintendenza Speciale di Roma, not by the Colosseum archaeological park, so the Colosseum ticket doesn't cover them. Entry is €8, €2 for visitors aged 18–25, and free for under-18s, ICOM members and other categories set by Italian law.
Whenever an exhibition is on, €2 is added to every ticket. The Frank Horvat show runs until 10 January 2027, so today you'll pay €10 or €4. The exhibition rooms close 30 minutes before the site, so arrive at least an hour before closing if you want to see it.
Tickets carry your name and there are only three official ways to buy: the Musei Italiani website, the Musei Italiani app, or on the spot at the desks and self-service machines at the entrance. The machines take cards only. There's no booking fee, and you can show the online ticket on your phone.
Skip-the-line and guided tours
The site's own page is blunt: official guided tours and skip-the-line services are not offered, and it accepts no responsibility for tickets bought through other channels. There's one entry ticket, and a product labelled "skip the line" doesn't open a separate gate.
What partners do add is explanation. Tiqets and Headout sell entry with an audio guide, GetYourGuide entry with an app-based audio guide, and several operators run guided tours that combine the Baths with the Circus Maximus. That's worth having: the complex is huge, and without context you see very tall brick walls. A guide or audio track tells you where the pool (natatio), the hot rooms (calidarium) and the gyms were.
Opening hours by season
Closed every Monday; open on public holidays with normal hours.
- 25 October – 28 February: 9 am–4:30 pm, last entry 3:30 pm
- 1–28 March: 9 am–5:30 pm, last entry 4:30 pm
- 29 March – 31 August: 9 am–7:15 pm, last entry 6 pm
- September: 9 am–7 pm, last entry 6 pm
- 1–24 October: 9 am–6:30 pm, last entry 5:30 pm
Entry is free for everyone on the first Sunday of each month and on 4 November. On those crowded days, though, the frescoed Domus di Vigna Guidi stays closed to protect it. If you want to see it, go on an ordinary weekday: it's included in the standard ticket.
Getting there and practical notes
Take Metro B to Circo Massimo and walk a few minutes; tram 3 and buses 75, 628 and 760 also stop at Circo Massimo. The entrance is at Viale delle Terme di Caracalla 52.
The surface route is flat and accessible, with tactile panels for visually impaired visitors, and drivers with a disability badge can park opposite the entrance. Glass bottles aren't allowed. There's little shade, so in summer go early.
