Reseller prices are refreshed daily; the final price is the one on the partner's site. Resellers cost more than the official ticket because they add availability, free cancellation or services.
Online only, and on time
The one rule that trips up visitors: you can't count on buying a ticket at the Egyptian Museum's desk. Sales are online, for a specific date and time slot, on the museum's ticket portal. The rules allow on-site sales only when places are left over.
Your slot guarantees entry within 15 minutes of its start time. You can't go in early, and arriving late can cost you entry. Tickets are non-refundable and can't be changed, so if you're coming in by train from Milan or the airport, leave yourself a margin.
Free visitors book too. Children up to 5, disabled visitors and a companion, Torino+Piemonte Card holders: all need an online ticket. The museum is explicit that there's no fast lane for pass holders, because every ticket goes through the website. Discounts are checked at the door, so carry ID.
Prices
Full price is €18. Ages 15–18 and university students pay €3, ages 6–14 pay €1, over-70s pay €15, and a family ticket for two adults and two children is €36. On your birthday you get in free with ID. There are no combined tickets with other Turin museums; the only way to bundle them is the Torino+Piemonte Card, which includes the Egyptian Museum.
Audio guide or a real guide?
The museum provides a free audio guide that runs on your own smartphone, with your own headphones. That's enough for many visitors. Reseller "entry + digital audio guide" products give you a different, pre-built route; buy one if you want that structure, not because there's no official guide.
A guided tour is worth considering here: the collection is huge, and without a thread you can leave remembering only the mummies. The museum runs small-group tours, but in languages other than Italian they're booked by phone or email, not online. That's where resellers help: GetYourGuide and Tiqets sell guided tours with entry included that you can book in English in a few minutes, including a family tour and a private option.
When to go
Allow about two hours. On Mondays the museum closes at 14:00, so there are no afternoon slots. Saturday runs to 20:00, handy if you arrive in Turin mid-day. On some dates there are late openings until 22:00, listed on the official calendar. Last entry is an hour before closing, which isn't enough time; pick a slot that leaves you at least two.
Bags and access
During the current building works the cloakroom is suspended. A few small lockers take school-size backpacks only. Suitcases, trolleys, scooters and large backpacks can't go in, so drop luggage at your hotel or the station first. There's a bag check at the entrance; scissors and blades are held by security until you leave.
The building is fully accessible, and two free wheelchairs can be collected at the ticket desk (not bookable).
Getting there
The museum is at Via Accademia delle Scienze 6, by Piazza Castello. From Porta Nuova station it's a 10–15 minute walk up Via Lagrange; from Porta Susa, 20–25 minutes. Buses 58 and 58B and tram 4 from Porta Nuova stop at Bertola. The Mole Antonelliana is about 15 minutes' walk away, so the two fit into one day.
