How tickets work
MUSE sells tickets through the Ticketlandia platform, for a specific day and time slot. That's the only way to be sure you get in: you can buy at the desk, but on busy days the slots may be gone. With a full-price online ticket you show it, on your phone or printed, at the gallery entrance and skip the ticket desk. Reduced or free tickets have to be checked at the desk first, so bring the relevant ID.
A ticket allows up to 3 hours in the galleries. Plenty with kids, but plan which floors matter to you.
Prices: €11 full, €9 reduced for anyone up to 26, 65 and over, or groups of 15+ paying visitors. The family rate is the one to look at: €11 for one parent with all their under-18 children, €22 for two parents.
Tiqets and GetYourGuide resell entry, which helps if you want to pay on a familiar platform in your own currency. On price, and especially with children, the official family rate is hard to beat.
Free entry and discounts
- First Sunday of the month: MUSE takes part in Italy's "Domenica al museo" and entry is free, on dates the museum lists on its site (in autumn, for example, 1 November and 6 December). Expect crowds and still book a slot.
- Always free: ages 0–5, disabled visitors (Italian Law 104/92 or over 67% disability) with a companion, and under-14s on their birthday with one companion (that one is booked by phone, not online).
- Tourist cards: free with the Verona Card or the Museum Pass; €7 with the Trentino Guest Card, accompanied minors free.
Opening hours
Tuesday to Friday 10am–6pm; Saturday, Sunday and public holidays 10am–7pm. Closed Mondays, except in August when it opens daily. Closed 25 December; on 24 and 31 December it closes at 5pm.
The Maxi Ooh area is for children aged 0–5 with one adult, for a small supplement on top of the museum ticket. Outside, the biodiversity gardens and wetland area are free to wander.
The museum is at Corso del Lavoro e della Scienza 3, Trento.
