Which ticket is right for you

All tickets online

Reseller prices are refreshed daily; the final price is the one on the partner's site. Resellers cost more than the official ticket because they add availability, free cancellation or services.

Two parks, one ticket office

Segesta and Selinunte are separate regional archaeological parks, both in the province of Trapani. CoopCulture runs official ticketing for both. Online and gate prices are the same, and a ticket is good for one day. You don't need to book. In winter the real risk is turning up after the ticket office has closed, which happens early.

Segesta. Entry is €14 and doesn't include the shuttle. The shuttle leaves from the car park by the café area and goes up to the ancient theatre. A ticket with the shuttle costs €16.50. Departures are hourly, which matters if you arrive late in the day.

Selinunte. The park lists €14 as its standard price. Until 31 December, though, the ticket on sale bundles the "Pericolo estinzione" exhibition and costs €17. A ticket with the shuttle to the Acropolis hill costs €25. If you already have entry, the shuttle alone is €8. There's also a shuttle option to the Malophoros sanctuary.

The €7 and €10 reduced fares are for EU citizens aged 18–25. Under-18s get in free under the regional rules. Bring ID.

Winter hours catch people out

Segesta's own website and CoopCulture give slightly different switchover dates around the end of October. In those days, assume the earlier closing. To do both parks in one winter day, start at Segesta and reach Selinunte well before 4pm.

Free days and the Archeopass

Entry is free for everyone on the first Sunday of every month and on 10 March, 25 April, 2 June and 4 November, as at all Sicilian regional parks and museums.

The Archeopass Segesta + Selinunte costs €25.40 (reduced €14.20). It includes one entry to each park plus any exhibition supplements, and it's valid for 7 consecutive days from first use. Don't waste it on a free day.

No car?

Without a car, most of what resellers sell is day trips from Palermo. On GetYourGuide the common ones pair Segesta with Erice and the Trapani salt pans. Tiqets sells Segesta or Selinunte entry with the internal shuttle bundled in. That's handy, but the official ticket with shuttle does the same job. Day trips covering Selinunte are rare, so a rental car is the simplest way to see it.

How much is the entrance fee for Segesta?

€14 full price, or €16.50 with the shuttle from the car park café area up to the ancient theatre. The €7 reduced rate is for EU citizens aged 18–25.

How much is Selinunte?

The base price is €14, but until 31 December tickets are sold with the "Pericolo estinzione" exhibition at €17. With the shuttle to the Acropolis hill it's €25, and the shuttle alone is €8.

What time does Selinunte close in winter?

From late October to February, the ticket office closes at 4pm. The park opens at 9am and closes about an hour after the ticket office.
